ROOT launches survey to help shape the future skills of the Earth Observation sector

The ROOT project has launched a new survey to gather insights from across the Earth Observation (EO) sector and beyond, helping to identify the skills needs and career development barriers that will shape the workforce of the future.

The survey invites EO and non-EO companies, professionals, education and training providers, public authorities and other relevant stakeholders to share their experiences, perspectives and challenges. Completing the survey takes approximately 5–10 minutes.

As the EO sector evolves and its applications expand across different industries, understanding the skills required and the barriers people face in developing their careers is essential. Gathering input from a wide range of stakeholders will help ROOT better understand these needs and identify opportunities to improve access to training and career development.

The findings will contribute to the co-creation of practical tools and approaches to support career guidance, helping individuals make informed upskilling and reskilling choices and enabling businesses and other organisations to better address their skills needs.

Have your say and help shape the skills and career pathways of tomorrow’s EO sector!
